WIESERGUT is a small hotel with 24 Suites with immediate access to the ski slopes and the hiking trails in the village of Saalbach-Hinterglemm. It is a traditional mountain treasure in Austria’s Salzburgerland, transformed by their owners Sepp and Martina Kröll from14th-century family estate into a modern design-highlight. This project has bee implemented with help of creative partner: Monika Gogl of Gogl + Partner Architects in Innsbruck.
A little journey through the hotel will show you how nature can be perfectly integrated into a modern design. The space of the building contains straight simple lines, floor-to-ceiling windows, glass passageways, a lot of steel and metal surfaces. But in the same time Wiesergut still feels like it reflects the traditional culture. Interior almost blends with surrounded beauty of the mountains behind the windows thanks to untreated wood, stone, weather-tanned leather, and cozy natural materials.
A lot of air and free space don’t make this interior feels cold and empty. Just opposite, every detail and every surface here fill the rooms with coziness and comfort. Wooden ceilings and floors creating a frame for the warm light, coming from the lamps, open fireplaces and reflecting over natural stone, glass and exposed concrete.
Here the borders between inside and outside, between old and new become less distinct…
